kale blueberry smoothie

I sneak in lots of good stuff in the smoothies . . .
Sahara doesn't even object although she emphatically declares her dislike of kale.

The one you see here was composed of:
one ripe banana
a small handful of frozen blueberry
2 leaves of ripped up kale
1 tsp ground flax seeds
enough rice milk to cover it all

zroom zroom goes the handheld blender and gulp gulp spill spill mess mess mmmmmmm

Lydia's favorite word of the week is "Sahara" with the soft a. If you turn on audio, you'll hear it.

And for your greater reading pleasure here are two short stories as dictated by the eldest daughter:

Once there was a little girl. She was walking in the nighttime sky when suddenly she felt a breeze and it was her daddy. Love, Sahara

Once upon a time there was a little girl. It was crispy outside and there was her brother and her mama and her papa. The brother was named In-misha-flying and the sister was named Penguin. Even though she was not a penguin she loved penguin stuff. Her mama and papa were named Musha and Kusha. One day in the crispy years she loved to go outside and pick apples, but this crispy year she crept outside and there were no apples and suddenly there was a (sound effect). A big butterfly flew gently over her and she slept all night and then it was morning.
